Professor Carla Rinaldi
“ …children are active constructors of knowledge, competencies and autonomies… in the relationship with their peers, adults, and the environment. The construction of knowledge is a group process.”
Carla Rinaldi says that the role and importance of peers and working in small groups is clear. Children’s learning is enriched and enabled by the contribution of the others through communication and exchange, particularly when the exchange creates a sense of conflict. (Carla Rinaldi 2006)
