CESA EARLY CHILDHOOD NETWORK
TERM 1, 2015

SHARING TEACHER RESEARCH

WHAT HAPPENS IN KINDERGARTEN?

Early Childhood Network meetings this year will be a forum for making teacher’s learning visible and will focus on continuity of learning for children from kindergarten to primary school.

Kindergarten, Early Learning Centre, Junior Primary, Primary teachers, co-educators and school leaders are encouraged to attend the network in order to grow a sense of connection and to enhance continuity of learning for children in our Catholic schools.

At the first network meeting educators from two Catholic preschools will share stories that relate research to every day practice. The stories are offered as provocations about change and insights into the curriculum and daily experience of learning for children and teachers in kindergarten.

The kindergarten educators will shares stories of practice in kindergarten and participants will be given time to consider these stories in light of their own contexts and learning. There will also be opportunity to reflect on the principles of the educational approach of Reggio Emilia.
