Secondary Numeracy Network 2015

The Secondary Numeracy Network is offered to teachers in leadership or with a key role in mathematics, numeracy or curriculum in the middle and secondary years. The network is run each term for a half-day.

The Secondary Numeracy Network aims to:

develop expertise in numeracy and mathematics teaching and learning
build capacity in leading numeracy and mathematics teaching at the school level
offers a forum for teachers to network with others
provide opportunities for discussions and sharing on areas related to numeracy and mathematics such as the implementation of the Australian Curriculum

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The agenda for the Term 1 Network will include:

discussion and feedback on the consultation of the SACE Board Senior Mathematics Curriculums
strategic planning and data collection for school based professional learning
designing and implementing mathematically challenging activities

Teachers in leadership or with a key role in mathematics, numeracy or curriculum in the middle and secondary years

PROGRAM OUTLINE

3 hours, one half-day per term
TRT reimbursement will available for one half-day for every two half-days attended per school. For example if the school attends four half-days, two of the four half-days will be reimbursed.
