How social media fulfils the promise of hope for our young people

COURSE DESCRIPTION

·    This course will illuminate how social media provides a window into the world of the young people we encounter in our schools and how this can be brought to our work in the classroom. The objective of the course is to outline means of proactively opening dialogue with young people about its use, framing the necessity to minister in the digital world and develop ideas for ensuring Religious Education interacts with the 'tradition' into the future. At the end of the workshop teachers should be able to use student's usage of and interaction with social media to develop curriculum that engages and inspires.
