Australian Curriculum: Languages - Learning Design, Scoping the Learning, Pedagogies and Assessment Practices Last Day to Register: Wednesday 08 April 2015
This Professional Learning opportunity will focus on the practices that teachers of languages and cultures will need to be familiar with in preparation for the implementation of the Australian Curriculum for Languages. This will be the main professional learning opportunity offered to teachers of languages and cultures in 2015.
Associate Professor Angela Scarino and Ludgero Rego will work together in offering this professional learning opportunity for teachers of languages in CESA schools.
COURSE INFORMATION: When: Day 1 - Friday 01 May 2015 Day 2 - Friday 19 June 2015 Day 3 - Monday 17 August 2015 Day 4 - Monday 26 October 2015

AITSL AUSTRALIAN PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS FOR TEACHERS INCLUDE: Standard 2. Know the content and how to teach it Standard 3. Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning Standard 6. Engage in professional learning and improve practice
PROGRAM OUTLINE:Teacher commitment: - 4 days of centrally delivered professional learning (in terms 2,3 and 4, 2015)- 3 days of personal classroom research For more information please click on flyer
TRT: Teachers must attend the four days of centrally delivered learning and will be able to claim up to 7 days TRT in total - which may include up to three days of personal research / inquiry / peer observations / support / reciprocal school visits.
