We often encounter the Gospels as God's word to us, about us: how we should act, what we've done wrong; which type of soil or ground we are when the seed is scattered; whether we are the elder or younger son in the parable. At times we can find potential condemnation in Gospel stories which put us on our guard: the steward who buries the talent given to him; the workers who grumble when paid the same for a day's work as those who worked for an hour. This retreat explores reading the Word as the story of God's compassion, abundance and invitation to wholeness in dialogue with our lives as women. Silence, art, prayerful reading and prayerful walking, will be the modes of this retreat. Personal conversation available on requests.
