PLAY AND EDUCATION

ORCHESTRATING PLAY IN EARLY YEARS AND JUNIOR PRIMARY EDUCATION

THE ROLE OF THE EDUCATOR

  • What is the role of the adult in children's play in the classroom?
  • How play can inform designing for children's learning.
  • How play can inform assessment.
  • Classifying and understanding  play in the classroom.

These are a few of the questions that will be explored at this CESA Early Childhood Network meeting.

This session follows on from the Term 3 2014 meeting, Play and Education.  It is not pre-requisite or essential to have attended the previous Term 3 meeting.  Time will be given to the exploration of theories about play and to discussion about the relationship between play and learning in our schools.
