NUMERACY ACROSS ALL
LEARNING AREAS NETWORK

TERM 3  

 Aim:

• To develop an awareness of the importance of Numeracy in ensuring success for  all students’ in their learning and their pathways for the future.

Focus for term 3:

• Explore the pedagogy and implications for planning, implementing and assessing Numeracy across learning areas within your year level context.

• Analyse current unit/lesson plans to identify the possible skills and understandings that can be further enhanced by explicit teaching, through incidental and planned teaching moments.

Please bring along:

• A unit of work/series of lessons (in any learning area) that you are implementing or will be implementing this term or next. Time and support will be provided to identify numeracy possibilities.

• Examples of how you may have explored numeracy across learning areas or within your school context to share with others. 

This network meeting will be held in Room 6, Conference Centre,
116 George Street, Thebarton.
