Two Sessions (3 modules) in UNDERSTANDING DYSLEXIA AND SIGNIFICANT DIFFICULTIES IN READING

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Three online training modules will be presented over two days with an option for participants to be trained as tutors upon completion of an additional module. The training will develop the skills and knowledge of teachers in teaching and supporting primary and secondary students with Dyslexia and reading difficulties.  The course equates to approx. 20 hrs of professional learning a proportion of which will be done in participants own time.

INTENDED FOR: Primary and secondary teachers and other education personnel.

AITSL AUSTRALIAN PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS FOR TEACHERS INCLUDE

Standard 1 - Know students and how they learn

Module 1 - Monday 15 Sept,  1.00 - 4.30
Modules 2 & 3 - Tuesday 21 Oct, 9.00 - 4.00
Optional Tutor Training Course - to be advised

Cost: No workshop fee
Catering: Catering will be provided for all sessions
TRT Support: 1 day of TRT will be provided upon completion of Modules 1,2 & 3.  Further TRT will be provided for Tutor Training
