Principals wishing to implement a standalone instance of Office 365 are invited to submit a Request to Opt Out of the Office 365 Enterprise Solution before 26 September 2014.
There are many benefits to using the Enterprise Solution for Office 365 but in the unlikely event your school would like to investigate alternative solutions, the following Office 365 Requirements should be considered.
If after considering the Benefits of the Enterprise Solution and CESA’s Requirements for Office 365 you decide your school wants to implement a standalone version of Office 365, complete the Request to Opt Out of Office 365 Enterprise Solution so that we can transfer licenses from the central pool and make them available for your School's Tenancy.
Licenses cannot be transferred easily, Microsoft will only allow an initial reallocation of licenses within the first 6 months of establishing the School's Tenancy then ongoing on an annual basis.
Requests to Opt Out of Office 365 Enterprise Solution must be received before the 26 September 2014 to allow these licenses to be transferred.
Once your Request to Opt Out of Office 365 Enterprise Solution has been processed a member of the Office 365 Project Team will contact you to discuss the next steps.
Schools will be responsible for all costs and integration associated with alternative solutions if they opt to go it alone.
Any alternative solution will not be supported by CEO
