Designing Learning using Composing Written Texts Across the Australian Curriculum F-6
Last Day to Register: Wednesday 17 September 2014
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Composing Written Texts across the Australian Curriculum F-6 is a resource to support teachers in designing a dynamic and exciting learning environment that enables students to become successful writers. Developing written English is incredibly complex and for many students, does not and will not happen without explicit language teaching. In order for students to successfully meet the demands of the curriculum at all levels of schooling, they need to be skilled writers.
This one day workshop will introduce teachers to the resource, unpacking the various aspects which support learning. The workshop will also cover backward design, the teaching and learning cycle and the elements of TfEL Learning Design. Participants will have an opportunity to plan for their own contexts with peer and consultant support.
