Student Pathway Program 2014
for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI)Students from Catholic Schools (Yrs 8-12)

(FOCUS TEACHERS to register ALL students)

PROGRAM INFORMATION and VISON An inspiring program aiming to engage students (Yrs 8-12) in the University environment. Organized and hosted by Wirltu Yarlu at no cost to students and their families. Launched during the September school holidays, Tuesday 30 September - Wednesday 1 October, at the University of Adelaide, Wirltu Yarlu, Level 1 Schulz Building.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

  • engage ATSI Catholic Education students
  • increase ATSI student numbers in higher education
  • build and develop student confidence
  • build awareness of University pathways and opportunities
  • provide an opportunity for students to be inspired, believe in yourself, build courage, be resilient, identify choices, use positive words and have fun

SESSION TIMES:
Full Day Sessions both days - 8.30am to 5.30pm
Students and their families: Wed 1st October Graduation (5.30pm - 7.30pm)

All meals will be provided and students must wear neat casual clothing.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS:
Parents/Caregivers are expected to arrange/provide transport for students.  The drop off and pickup zone at the University of Adelaide will be advised.  Students can be dropped off at 8.30am for morning activities (program starts at 9.00am)
