Adobe Premer Pro Essentials: Lights, Camera, Edit! (25 May 2026)

Upskill Your Video Editing and bring your stories to life!

One you have all been waiting for! Join us for a hands-on Adobe Premiere Pro Essentials workshop, designed for beginners. This session will guide you through the basics of video editing while keeping it simple, creative, and fun - leaving you with skills you can use straight away.

You’ll learn the essentials of framing shots, lighting, building a story, and putting it all together. Discover do’s and don’ts, tips and tricks for filming, and how to bring your footage to life in Premiere Pro. Every attendee will receive a set of downloadable files to have ready on their laptop for the workshop, so you can jump straight in and create your own edit!

Facilitated by Lyndal Redman, who has over 20 years of experience in editing and camera work at some of Australia’s leading television and media companies, this workshop is hands-on, supportive, and designed to let your creativity shine.

By the end, you’ll leave with practical video editing skills and the confidence to go back to school and create engaging videos that capture your audience.

Please note: Attendees must have Adobe Premiere Pro installed on their laptops prior to the workshop.

Write it right: Crafting Engaging Copy for schools (25 Aug 2026)

Strong copy can change how people think, feel and act - let’s explore how to create it.

We’re thrilled to have Katheryn Korczak join us from Nation to facilitate this focused 2-hour workshop! Following her keynote at the 2025 Communications and Marketing Connect Conference, Katheryn will guide participants through the essentials of creating copy that captures attention and drives results.

This session will cover:

· Crafting compelling headlines.
· The importance of brand voice.
· Creating effective calls to action for campaigns.
· Adapting copy for different mediums, such as web and social.

The workshop will include group interaction, real-world examples, and plenty of time for questions, giving you the chance to learn from others, and get guidance on your own copy challenges. If you are looking to elevate your storytelling and campaigns, this workshop will give you practical tips and techniques to create copy that truly engages your audience.

Media Training for Principals (02 Sep 2026)

This hands-on media training workshop will help prepare school principals for media interviews.

Topics covered will include:

What makes news? How to help your school make headlines
Interview techniques and preparation
Crisis management – what to do when things go pear-shaped!
On-camera (TV) performances
Radio news and talkback

This session will suit principals in schools or senior CEO staff who pro-actively seek media coverage and will prepare any principal for a crisis situation where media comment is required.

Places are limited to seven participants per session (This ensures all participants get to experience a live interview and receive a digital recording of their interview).

Host Lisa Reichstein, Communications and Marketing Manager, CESA, will host the session and provide insights into media management in schools.
