DESCRIPTION:https://registrationcentre.cesa.catholic.edu.au/event-692463\n\nEAL\n \n Repeated Workshop - New Date\n  Language and Literacy Levels: Familiarisation Day\n    Last Day to Register: Tuesday 27 August 2013\n    This one day workshop is suitable for teachers who have prior training and experience in using the SACSA ESL Scope  Scales and a knowledge of functional grammar.\n \n This Professional Learning session references the following AITSL Australian Professional Standards for Teachers:\n Standard 5:  Assess\, provide feedback and report on student learning\n Standard 6:  Engage in professional learning\n Duration:  6 hours\n  The workshop is suitable for primary and secondary teachers.\n  The workshop will provide an opportunity for:\n      * Guided exploration of the new Levels document\n\n        * Comparison of the main differences and similarities between the Scales and the Levels\n\n        * Using the Levels to assess written language\n\n  The main focus of this workshop will be on the organisation and use of the Levels\; there will be no explicit teaching of the metalanguage. For those who need to learn about the language within the Levels\, please register for the 2 day workshop: Assessment for Learning using the Language and Literacy Levels.\n  Teachers are asked to bring several student writing samples to assess during this workshop.\n  Workshop Date:\n     Term 3: Monday 02 September 2013 \n  Minimum numbers are requred for this workshp to take place\n  Catering: morning tea and lunch are provided\n  Venue: Catholic Education Conference Centre - Room 8\n                116 George Street\, Thebarton\n  Parking is not available on site.
