DESCRIPTION:https://registrationcentre.cesa.catholic.edu.au/event-691110\n\nEAL\n \n Repeated Workshop - New Dates\n  Assessment for Learning using the Language and Literacy Levels - 2 day workshop\n  Last Day to Register: Friday 12th July 2013\n    The new Language and Literacy Levels across the Australian Curriculum: EALD students have been developed by DECD\, with support from CESA\, to update and align the SACSA Scope and Scales with all subject areas of the Australian Curriculum.\n  The Levels are the tool used by EAL teachers to assess and plan for the literacy and language development of EAL students. They provide detailed information about students' language and literacy development which can be used for assessment and programming purposes for any student\; therefore this workshop is open to all teachers in both primary and secondary settings.\n  The workshop is suitable for primary and secondary teachers who wish to learn about the language of the Levels and how to use the Levels to assess written language.\n        * An introduction to the Language and Literacy Levels and links to the Australian Curriculum\n\n        * Learning about the functional model of language at whole text\, sentence and word level\n\n        * Using the Levels to assess student writing and identify teaching and learning needs\n\n    This Professional Learning session references the following AITSL Australian Professional Standards for Teachers:\n Standards 5:   Assess\, provide feedback and report on student  learning\n Standard 6:   Engage in professional learning\n Duration:      12 hours\n \n Workshop Dates:\n     Term 3: Friday 26 July 2013 & Thursday 15 August 2013\n \n Minimum numbers are required for this workshop to take place\n  Cost: no workshop fee\n   \n  Catering: morning tea and lunch are provided\n  Venue: Catholic Education Conference Centre - Room 6\n                116 George Street\, Thebarton\n  Parking is not available on site.
