DESCRIPTION:https://registrationcentre.cesa.catholic.edu.au/event-2544130\n\n\nKeeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum\n  EXPRESSION OF INTEREST\n  Curriculum Connections Project 2017\n  DESCRIPTION\n  The project\, a collaboration between CESA\, ACARA and DECD\, will engage teachers in embedding the Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum within the Australian Curriculum.\n  The project will include:\n      * Professional learning\n\n        * Development of quality assessment tasks and the provision of student work sample\n\n        * Moderation of assessment practices\n\n        * Publication of assessment tasks\, work samples and illustrations of good practice on the ACARA\, CESA and DECD websites and used in networks and professional learning\n\n  SCOPE\n      * The project will begin in Term 2\, 2017 and be completed by the end of 2017\n\n        * Schools will be required to provide release for 2 teachers who will both attend 3 sessions: an initial workshop (June 14 Primary schools and June 15 Secondary) and 2 further network sessions in Terms 3 and 4\n\n        * Project participants will  teach the Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum in their class within the learning areas of the Australian Curriculum and with a focus on intentional skill development from the General Capabilities\, produce and moderate quality assessment tasks and supply student work samples\n\n  Benefits for Participating Schools\n      * Project participants and school communities will benefit from collaborative networking and increased curriculum design and assessment capacity with the Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum and the Australian Curriculum.\n\n        * Schools will be contributing to ACARA’s Curriculum Connections Portfolio. \n\n\n  Schools will be contacted by May 24 as to their selection or otherwise for this project.\n  CONTACT DETAILS\n  For further information on the Curriculum Connections Project contact Marianne Farrugia\, Australian Curriculum Consultant on 83016147.\n   \n  \n\n
