DESCRIPTION:https://registrationcentre.cesa.catholic.edu.au/event-2390615\n\nF-10 Australian Curriculum: 'Understanding by Design' Leader's Network 2017\n  $100\n invoice will be sent to school\n  \n  DESCRIPTION\n  Understanding by Design enables the design of learning for understanding and learning transfer. The design framework will assist schools to enable deeper learning through the Australian Curriculum. Understanding by Design frames three stages of design:\n  1. Identify desired results\n 2. Determine assessment evidence\n 3. Plan learning experiences and instruction\n  Network participants will need to commit to the following:\n      * Attendance at 2 days of formal professional learning - March 7 and May 29\,2017\n\n\n        * Supporting teachers at their school site (whole staff or small group) to trial UBD to design\, teach and assess learning during the period between March 7 and May 29\n\n        * Engagement and professional dialogue with other schools in the network to support further embedding of the Understanding by Design framework.\n\n     Network participants will be provided with:          * Training in Understanding by Design provided by Hawker Brownlow Professional Learning Solutions\n\n          * Consultancy network support provided by Marianne Farrugia\, CESA Australian Curriculum Consultant\n\n          * 1x Understanding by Design workbook per school\n\n         Numbers are limited to 60 participants with a minimum of 2 leaders and a maximum of 3 leaders per school. Schools will contribute $100 per person to cover venue costs.         PROFESSIONAL LEARNING DAYS      March 7 and May 29\, 2017      9am to 4pm      Adelaide Sailing Club\, Barcoo Road\, West Beach      Cost: $100 per participant      Morning tea and lunch will be provided      Opportunities to gather as informal networks will be negotiated with participants.
