 WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

The website provides valuable information and resources to support schools, leaders and teachers in communities where there are recently arrived migrants from non-English speaking backgrounds, including those with refugee experience.  
The website is also a 'gateway' to a range of professional learning modules designed to assist teachers plan and teach for the Literacy capability and English language learning.

A maximum of 30 participants for each workshop

EAL learners

AITSL NATIONAL PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS FOR TEACHERS INCLUDE:

Standard 3 - Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning
Standard 6 - Engage in professional learning

 INTENDED FOR:
All key teachers and classroom teachers who have EAL students in their school.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Cost: no workshop fee
